About the role
As a Faith Community Ministry Assistant, this is your opportunity to support the delivery of our vision by managing people, and resources that enable the ministry to flourish.
Reporting to the Corps Officer-Team Leader, this is a permanent part-time role offering 15 hours, located in Dingley Village, VIC.
Availability to work on Mondays is required.
How you will make an impact
Lead and facilitate Corps and ministry programs that align with mission goals and engage participants while ensuring compliance with TSA policies and procedures.
Recruit, train, record, and support volunteers in line with TSA policy to ensure effective engagement and participation.
Coordinate major church events and assist the Leadership Team with facility and vehicle bookings, the Red Shield Appeal, and Christmas collecting.
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with community groups, local schools, churches, municipalities, and police, attending network meetings and liaising with partners.
Represent Kingston City Salvos by attending schools to receive donations, present thank you certificates, host visits, and drive the Corps vehicle for pick-ups and deliveries as required.
What you will bring
Experience in a Ministry position (desirable)
Capacity to facilitate groups and one to one with a particular focus
Experience in working with children, youth, families from diverse backgrounds and people living with disability
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively within a team and wider community delivering student and family well-being services and programs in a relevant setting
