Facility Technician
Job Description Summary
The Facilities Technician will support the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure across one or more sites under Cushman & Wakefield’s management. This role performs preventative and corrective maintenance tasks, responds to facility service requests, and helps ensure the facility meets operational and compliance standards.

About the role:
- Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, fire safety, mechanical, and structural components.
- Handle building finishes and general maintenance tasks such as patching walls, replacing ceiling tiles, installing doors, repairing furniture, and performing carpentry or painting work.
- Assist with the installation, modification, or relocation of equipment and systems as needed.
- Respond promptly to work orders and service requests; create, update, and close work orders in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Inspect building systems, equipment, and grounds for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions; conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Ensure compliance with codes, local regulations, company policies, and safety procedures; participate in required safety training.
- Communicate with site occupants, vendors, contractors, and internal teams to coordinate maintenance activities, repairs, and emergency services.
- Maintain tools, inventory, parts, and equipment; ensure facility and systems documentation is current.
- May be required to serve on-call or work non-standard shifts depending on site or portfolio requirements.
About you:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
- Proven experience in maintenance or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
