The Facility Maintenance Landscaper will assist in the facility maintenance of all U-Haul Moving Centers, Storage Centers and other U-Haul facilities within a geographical area. 

Job Summary:

U-Haul is seeking a dedicated and skilled Facility Landscaper to maintain the exterior grounds of 12 U-Haul stores. This role is essential to ensuring our properties are safe, clean, and visually appealing for customers and team members. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing landscaping tasks across multiple locations efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine landscaping maintenance including mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, and leaf removal.

  • Maintain flower beds, shrubs, trees, and other plantings.

  • Apply fertilizers, weed control, and pest management treatments as needed.

  • Ensure irrigation systems are functioning properly; perform minor repairs or report issues.

  • Remove trash, debris, and hazards from outdoor areas.

  • Conduct seasonal tasks such as snow removal, salting, and planting.

  • Inspect grounds regularly and report any safety or maintenance concerns.

  • Maintain landscaping equipment and tools in good working condition.

  • Coordinate with store managers to schedule work with minimal disruption to operations.

  • Track and report time, tasks, and materials used at each location.

Education/Training: 

High school diploma or equivalent 

Work Environment: 

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts or machines, fumes or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields. 

Physical Demands: 

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing, walking, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching or similar activities, and lifting a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted. ts skilled workers in the performance of all duties when necessary.
