What will your day look like?

As an Experience Strategist, you will act as an advocate for the end-customers with the goal of consistently ensuring a cohesive, customer-first approach to marketing automation, personalization, loyalty and CRM and to the wider connected customer experiences at scale – leveraging the power of data and technology to make every moment matter. 

Your role will be highly client-facing, requiring you to build strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally to push innovative thinking and deliver best-in-class solutions to our clients.  

More specifically, your tasks will include:   

  • Conduct Research & Analysis by performing qualitative and quantitative research, attend workshops to gather insights and translate insights into actionable strategies, personas, and journey maps.
  • Develop customer-centric digital strategies by applying core strategy principles including brand strategy, journey mapping, and audience segmentation as well as focus on digital touchpoints such as email, mobile apps, web and conversational channels
  • Consulting both internally and externally as well as defining engaging omni-channel customer journeys, connecting relevant consumer moments through data, tech, content and insights.  
  • Facilitating seamless collaboration between specialist capabilities to meet project deadlines and ensure industry-leading quality and client satisfaction.    

Who are you going to work with?

At the VML MAP headquarters in Copenhagen, you will become part of a dynamic and international environment where you will get plenty of opportunity to develop your personal and professional skills. 
Your work will depend on collaboration with the wider VML MAP capabilities, which means you will get to collaborate closely with experts in technology, data, design, business consulting and client services from our offices globally. 

In addition, you will be working with our clients, both management and specialists, across many of their functions including marketing, sales, digital and technology. Our global clients span across multiple industries including FMCG, retailers, fashion, automotive, financial services. 

What do you bring to the table?

As a person, you are an outgoing, sociable team player with strong interpersonal skills and with a self-starter and can-do mentality. You find energy in thinking-out-of-the box and solving complex challenges in a structured manner with a strong grasp of detail. You possess a strong ability to draw sound insights from data and switching between tech-first and human-first perspectives to translate business objectives into clear strategic recommendations. Finally, turning your strategies into tactical and scalable omnichannel communications through strong and concise storytelling is key to succeeding in the role.  

Additionally, you have a global perspective and flair for cross-cultural collaboration, ensuring seamless alignment between our different offices.  

Ideally, you have:  

  • 3-5 years of experience in CRM, strategy, experience planning or digital consulting. 
  • A strong understanding of digital marketing channels and how to leverage tech, data and insights to define customer engagement strategies that fit into the broader brand and marketing strategies.
  • Knowledge of the capabilities, opportunities, and limitations of marketing automation platforms such as Adobe Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze or similar platforms.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills, capable of crafting compelling narratives and present your strategic thinking in a simple and cohesive manner.
  • Experience working effectively in flat organizational structures, where collaboration and flexibility take precedence over set procedures and hierarchy.
