Our team operates a range of facilities, including the Active Gym, Sports and Recreation Hall, indoor and outdoor courts, and playing fields—creating opportunities for everyone to get active and engaged.

Your New Role!  

Join the Murdoch Active team as an Exercise Physiologist and lead the development of a comprehensive rehabilitation program within our gym facilities. You’ll create an inclusive environment that promotes health and well-being for students, staff, and the wider community, while supporting Murdoch University’s teaching and learning objectives through student placement supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement safe, accessible exercise physiology programs for diverse participants.

  • Supervise and mentor students during placements, ensuring learning outcomes are met.

  • Assist with daily operations of Murdoch Active facilities and help build strong stakeholder relationships to promote fitness and well-being across campus.

This Fixed Term (12 Months) | Full Time (37.5 hours per week) attracts a remuneration of $89K – $96K (pro rata) plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • A tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology or a related higher-level discipline.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder and customer relationships.

  • Proven leadership experience, including staff supervision, training, and mentoring.

  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the capacity to manage competing priorities effectively.

  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong problem-solving abilities that reflect initiative and adaptability.

  • Current First Aid Certificate.
