About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Investment Banker / Executive Director for the FX eSales Team.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and implement the e‑sales strategy for FX: electronic platforms, APIs, Algo offering, Marketplace connectivity, and client onboarding.
  • Work alongside primary account coverage for high-touch accounts to drive more flows into the franchise while maintaining a strong relationship and business expansion with low-touch, fully electronic accounts .
  • Collaborate with trading desks, quant/struct teams, product specialists, and technology to launch execution‑enabling tools and enhance the client experience.
  • Partner and maintain a strong relationship with External Vendors and Platforms in eFX.
  • Grow revenue and flow volumes through the digital channel with measurable targets; manage pipeline, forecast performance, and ensure steady conversion of opportunities.
  • Maintain strict governance, compliance, risk‑control and operational discipline in collaboration with legal, risk and operations teams.
  • Monitor competitive landscape, regulatory changes and market‑structure evolution (e.g., MiFID, Dodd‑Frank, FX market micro‑structure) and recommend business responses.
  • Contribute to thought leadership: author market commentary, present at client forums or industry events, build Wells Fargo’s e-FX brand.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Product Management, product development, strategic planning, process management, change delivery, or agile product owner experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 7+ years of experience in FX sales, electronic FX, or FX flow business, covering institutional clients (Asset Managers, Hedge Funds etc.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge of FX products and services (spot, forward, NDF, options, algos) and ability to advise clients on execution strategies over Electronic Channels.
  • Proven experience working with/trading electronic platforms, APIs, digital client workflow and automation.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and relationship‑management skills — able to engage senior clients in multiple geographies.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability: able to coach, develop talent and drive team performance.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and market‑insight abilities; proficient in using Bloomberg, Reuters, Excel / data tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field; Master’s degree or relevant professional qualification preferred
  • Established relationships with global institutional clients and awareness of their FX/execution needs.

  • Experience launching/managing multi‑channel platforms (online, API, algo) and converting flow via eCommerce channels.

  • Demonstrated understanding of front‑to‑back FX workflows, risk controls, and regulatory environment.

  • Knowledge of OMS systems or FX e‑trading architecture.

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$167,000.00 - $260,000.00
