The EBB Leadership Team is responsible for shaping the strategy and direction of business banking at CommBank, driving initiatives that enhance customer value, streamline operations, and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement

The role will be primarily responsible for providing efficient, professional delivery of business and administrative support to the Executive General Manager, EBB. The role also oversees the other Executive Assistants in the EBB business to ensure efficient running of the broader teams and collaborative outcomes that build the culture and contribute to leaders achieving their leadership and business outcomes.

  • This role is wide reaching and not prescriptive in every sense. Discretion and sound judgment are critically important.

We’re interested in hearing from people who will aspire to

  • Serve as a trusted partner to the EGM, proactively managing complex stakeholder relationships across CommBank and the broader business banking ecosystem. Represent the EGM in communications with senior leaders, external partners including regulators and government, and key clients, ensuring alignment with EBB’s strategic objectives.
  • Drive operational excellence for the EBB Leadership Team by overseeing onboarding, budget tracking, travel and event logistics, and confidential matters. Create a seamless, high-performing environment that enables the EGM and team to focus on delivering outcomes for business customers.
  • Exceptional professional communication and judgement with an ability to draft clear context aware communications on behalf of the EGM and use sound judgement and tone aligned to the CBA culture and the EGM
  • Anticipate the EGM’s needs by expertly managing a dynamic schedule, coordinating executive forums, and ensuring timely follow-up on critical actions and decisions.
  • Play an integral role in EBB Leadership Team meetings: set agendas in line with business priorities, capture and track actions, and facilitate delivery of key initiatives that support EBB’s growth and transformation agenda.
  • Support the EGM in driving business performance by monitoring progress on strategic initiatives, following up with accountable leaders, and ensuring timely completion of deliverables that impact EBB’s customers and colleagues.

Other qualities you may possess include

  • Previous experience as an Executive Assistant at a senior level.
  • Ability to manage substantial competing priorities, work under pressure, and adapt to change.
  • High level of professionalism and complete discretion.
  • A proactive mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to excellent service.
  • A focus on operational excellence and team enablement
  • Relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
