If so, Student Accessibility Services at Iowa State University is currently seeking applicants for an Exam Accommodations Coordinator!
This position will be classified as a Student Services Coordinator III. Reporting through the Dean of Students Office in the Division of Student Affairs, Student Accessibility Services (SAS) coordinates reasonable accommodations for ISU students with documented disabilities and promotes access and student success at the University.
What You'll Do:
Manage a highly organized system for the exam referral process, including scheduling, approving exam times, and handling documentation.
Collaborate with the Director to recommend and implement updated processes that enhance the Exam Accommodations Center (EAC) procedures.
Act as the primary resource for addressing elevated concerns from students and faculty, ensuring that every voice is heard and valued.
Take charge of important projects, such as coordinating final exam week and integrating new systems for improved efficiency.
Work alongside various campus partners, including Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching and Facilities Planning and Management, to ensure seamless delivery of reasonable accommodations.
Provide supervision, training, and support to student employees, fostering their growth through the Career Readiness Competencies framework.
Assist in recruiting and onboarding new student staff, ensuring they are well-prepared to support their peers.
Offer constructive feedback and hold bi-weekly check-ins to help student employees excel in their roles.
Work closely with students to navigate accommodation concerns, empowering them to advocate for their needs.
