The Job: 

We are seeking a proactive, technically‑driven Equipment Engineer who will lead the effort to optimize, upgrade, and maintain our manufacturing production equipment to improve yield, throughput, quality, and efficiency. This role will support continuous improvement of manufacturing systems, qualify and commission new equipment, and ensure high reliability and availability of manufacturing assets.

You will: 

  • Lead projects to evaluate, specify, install, commission, and maintain resin production equipment, automation systems, and manufacturing line modifications.
  • Analyze current manufacturing line performance (downtime, cycle time, quality rejects, maintenance costs) and identify improvement opportunities using root‑cause analysis, data analytics, and engineering best practices.
  • Develop and maintain equipment specifications, control schematics, and production workflow.
  • Collaborate with production, R&D, and quality teams to implement solutions seamlessly into existing operations.
  • Implement preventive maintenance, reliability engineering, and condition‑monitoring programs to maximize equipment uptime and life‑cycle performance.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for equipment performance (OEE, MTBF, MTTR) and deliver measurable improvements (e.g., reduced downtime, increased throughput, improved yield).
  • Ensure that new equipment and modifications are compliant with safety, quality, and regulatory standards; document changes and train operations/maintenance personnel.
  • Provide technical support for unscheduled breakdowns, troubleshoot equipment failures, and drive permanent corrective actions.


You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Chemical Engineering (or related field).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, equipment design, or process improvement in a high‑volume production environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with manufacturing equipment (mechanical systems, drives, pumps, automation equipment) and line improvement initiatives.
  • Hands‑on and willing to do what it takes to hit the project deadline.  
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to use data to drive decisions.
  • Self‑motivated with strong problem‑solving skills, high attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills - comfortable working cross‑functionally with operations, maintenance, R&D, and external vendors.
  • Experience in batch based production operations. 

Bonus Points:

  • Proficiency in CAD (e.g., SolidWorks), electrical schematic design, and software tools for manufacturing data analytics.
  • Experience with reliability engineering, IIoT/Industry 4.0 technologies, condition‑monitoring programs.
  • Proven track record of improving line productivity and quality.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations (e.g., NFPA 79), machine guarding, and manufacturing equipment safety standards.
  • Experience working with vendors across the globe.
