Department Overview
The Finance team is responsible for management reporting, analysis, business planning and special projects for various business divisions within Fidelity Canada. The team's main focus is to support these business groups in working towards their goals by identifying issues, recommending solutions, providing financial transparency and valuable financial assessments. This is achieved by establishing strong ties with these client groups while meeting the needs and interests of all stakeholders.
How You’ll Make an Impact
The Environmental Sustainability Analyst Sr is responsible for being the catalyst for identifying and proposing potential solutions that will help Fidelity Canada lower our environmental footprint and realize our operational climate ambitions. This role will focus on identifying solutions to reduce natural gas, electricity, business travel, and purchased goods and services emissions and any other material environmental impacts.

The Opportunity
The Technical Conversion Manager, FCC is responsible for the technical data components of implementing new clients to FCC. This includes developing, enhancing, and maintaining conversion utilities (internal) for a bulk data conversion and understanding the functionality of external conversion utilities utilized by the books & records provider. In addition, this role is responsible for data loading, scripting, and mining as well as maintaining accurate data mapping.
What You Will Do
Bulk and ad-hoc data loading, scripting, data mining using house conversion tools
Handle large sets of data cleaning and manipulation of upwards from 100,000 to millions or records
Working closely with the books & records provider to complete configuration for Dataphile to Dataphile data replication and conversions
Responsible for delivering clear requirements for data modification requests and conversion script selections
Completing data analysis on the incoming client, account, position, security, and transaction records
Creating and maintaining conversion utilities for managing aspects of client data
Handling the post-conversion sweep process, ensuring adherence to FCC transaction code standards
Maintaining conversion data mapping, performing necessary QA and version control
Consulting with external stakeholders for agreement and approval on all configuration and mapping.

What We’re Looking For:
3+ years working experience within the brokerage industry preferred
Completion of a post-secondary education or equivalent work experience
Advanced Excel skills in using Excel functions, conditional formatting, pivot tables, charting, and Power Query (M Language). Knowledge of VBA & Macros is nice to have.
Relevant experience with Python and its data processing libraries and packages
Relevant experience working with flat files/text database and ETL. Experience with Regular Expressions is an asset.
SQL knowledge with relevant experience working with SQLite and MySQL/MariaDB
Experience with MS SQL Server and Oracle database is an asset
Knowledge or relevant experience with Broadridge Dataphile, OSS/ISM or other stock brokerage accounting systems, understanding of brokerage operations is an asset
Experience using JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket (GIT) is preferred
Experience with data analytics, automation using Power Automate, screen scraping, web scraping is an asset
Completion of Canadian Securities Course is an asset

Solid understanding of the Canadian brokerage industry in both the retail and institutional segments
Ability to analyze technical requirements and documentation
Ability to work with cross-functional teams
High attention to detail
Strong analytical & organizational skills
