Job Description

Summary:

Role holder will provide environment, health, safety (EHS) support at country level to the all partners to ensure main EHS risks are addressed, and compliance is maintained. Role holder will be required strategies and implement actions such as risk reduction, improvement in environmental performance and most importantly in ensuring development of safety behaviour by all employees. Provide leadership and technical resources to ensure business compliance with applicable health, safety, and environmental (including product related) government regulations as well as Rockwell Automation procedures. Coordinate assessment and implementation of programme conformance need to meet specialized customer EHS programme demands.

You will report to the EHS Supervisor and have a hybrid schedule working in Bengaluru, India.

Your Responsibilities:

Functional Expertise

  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of Rockwell Automation's EHS management systems to ensure compliance with local laws and internal policies.
  • Support government inspections and ensure and accurate responses to regulatory requirements.
  • Necessary Headquarters environmental, health and safety field and non-operations oriented procedures to ensure compliance to the environmental, health and safety permits and regulations – special attention needed for electrical testing and test labs.
  • Complete environmental, health and safety permits, reports, forms and surveys by regulation and Rockwell Automation policy and procedures for the field and non-operations organisation and submit.
  • Report monthly injury/illness metrics to HQ-EHS; help investigate injury and illnesses; analyse work related injury and illness data to implement actions to prevent a recurrence of the injury/illness; and support efforts to return employees to productive work within assigned medical restrictions.
  • Ensure that environmental, health and safety assessments, personal protective equipment, procedures, training and other control measures by regulation and Rockwell Automation policy and procedures are provided for the field and non-operations personnel.
  • Support in providing regular update to EHS supervisor or leadership team along with commentary on overall safety culture status, actions taken and way forward. Updates should demonstrate how EHS function is bringing change in overall safety culture. The consistency of updates is critical and are ensured. Coordinate management review meetings
  • Develop emergency response plans, including fire safety, chemical spills, and natural disasters. Conduct regular drills and simulations to ensure readiness and compliance.
  • Ensure visibility of EHS actions along with regular communication to employees.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience managing environmental, health, and safety (EHS) responsibilities with manufacturing, R&D, or field service environments.
  • B.Sc. or similar college degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Sciences or Engineering required.
  • Developed observation skills, fluent in writing and speaking English, Experience communicating product benefits appropriate for each prospect with multiple levels of the field business and sales organisations. Understanding of local EHS regulations and local social context
  • Track record in the development of ISO management systems, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

  • Support sustainability programmes such as waste reduction, energy efficiency, and water conservation.
  • Monitor and report on environmental Goals and support corporate sustainability goals.
  • Develop and implement strategic EHS programmes aligned with team goals to improve.
  • Use Rockwell Automation digital tools and platforms for EHS data management, reporting, and training.
  • Conduct trend analysis of EHS data to identify systemic issues and recommend corrective actions.
