Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day technical support and oversight to Environmental Control & Utilities (EC&U) operations team ensuring critical safety & GMP parameters are maintained within control.
Provide engineering expertise for both clean and grey utilities with a focus on safety, compliance, reliability, and energy efficiency.
Clean utilities include PWEC and PWEC pre-treatment systems, Nitrogen - PSA Plant and Liquid.
Grey Utilities include the full suite of standard grey utilities, including but not limited to Chillers, Boilers, Cooling Towers, Air Compressors / Receivers, Glycol, Steam and Condensate.
Identify and implement capital projects (facility & equipment) as required to improve safety, compliance, productivity and energy efficiency.
Lead troubleshooting efforts to address equipment and operational issues associated with difficult unit operations.
Ensure utilities equipment is maintained in a qualified and reliable state in line with Lilly quality standards.
Develop & deliver training programs, as required, to the operations team on key unit operations in the area.
Evaluate activities (operational, maintenance or project) for impact on qualified state of equipment and utilize appropriate resources as necessary to ensure compliance. Ensure the ongoing qualified state of equipment / unit operations is documented via Lilly change management systems.
Work with customer areas and small projects group to scope, design and implement capital projects as required to ensure continued supply of robust utilities to support operations business
Utilities support for capital projects including new product introductions, facility recapitalization and expansions
Develop a network of corporate contacts and leverage corporate expertise as required
Interact with external (e.g. vendors, consortiums, academia) and internal partners (e.g. engineering tech centre, other Lilly sites, etc.) as required.
