We are seeking an Entry Level Weights & Mass Properties Engineer to support the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Flight Sciences team. This position is location located in Everett, Washington.  The BCA Flight Sciences organization, is responsible for analyzing the weight and producing associated technical products for Boeing commercial aircraft across all lifecycle phases, Product Development, Airplane Development, Production, Delivery and Fleet Support.

The candidate will innovate, advance, and deliver optimal Weight & Balance Solutions for BCA products.

Position Responsibilities:

• Assists in developing weight, balance and mass properties data.

• Assists in defining weight, balance and mass properties related design requirements.

• Participates in developing customer specification commitments.

• Assists in providing vehicle or system configuration guidance. Participates in individual design team weight control efforts.

• Assists in estimating, calculating and measuring and verifying mass, weight, stiffness and inertias of components, assemblies and completed vehicles or systems.

• Assists in developing and maintaining weight, balance and mass properties accounting systems and generating weight and balance reports.

• Assists in developing and implementing new processes and tools. Works under close supervision.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering or mechanical engineering.

• Basic understanding of aircraft design, weight management, and loadability principles.

• Experience using a mass properties database to track weight, center of gravity, and inertia.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range for Associate level (Level 1): $76,500 – $103,500
