Entrepreneurship Programs Manager

Job Summary

The Entrepreneurship Programs Manager oversees the development, facilitation, and growth of entrepreneurial programs within the Rist Institute for Entrepreneurship. This position manages the daily operations, implementation, and continuous improvement of current and future program initiatives, including but not limited to the Runway Program student and alumni startup incubator. The manager works closely with faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community partners to ensure successful program delivery and alignment with institutional goals.

Job Description

Typical duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Plans, coordinates, and manages entrepreneurship-related program activities, including scheduling, communication, and operations.
  • Oversees and facilitates one or more major programs such as the FGCU Runway Program, ensuring participant success and measurable impact.
  • Leads the implementation and evaluation of new and evolving programs supporting innovation, venture development, and experiential learning.
  • Establishes operational goals and performance metrics in alignment with the Institute’s and University’s strategic objectives.
  • Develops and maintains community and industry partnerships to enhance experiential opportunities for students and alumni.
  • Supervises and mentors staff, OPS employees, interns, and volunteers assisting in program delivery.
  • Advises faculty, staff, and program participants regarding policies, procedures, and program requirements.
  • Assists with grant-funded project coordination, program reporting, and outcome tracking.
  • Represents the Institute at university and community events to promote engagement and awareness.
  • Provides guidance and mentorship to program participants launching, maintaining, and growing new ventures.

Required Qualifications:

  • This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and five years of full-time experience related to the job functions.
  • Professional, full-time experience.
  • Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization.
  • Experienced in developing and teaching comprehensive academic courses.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulations pertaining to the position.
  • Knowledge of supervisory principles, methods and techniques.
  • Excellent organizational, time management and problem solving skills.
  • Skill in identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Ability to take initiative to plan, organize, coordinate and perform work in various situations when numerous and competing demands are involved.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively within the community and willing to contribute to a team effort.
  • Detail oriented and the ability to work independently.
