Job Summary

The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team:

The Transformation Lead for Enterprise Financial Services Accounting and Compliance is responsible for supporting the Accounting and Compliance team in implementing process changes and adopting new service lines for our Business Unit customers in support of the RTX strategy for a global shared services model while driving alignment and integration across a highly matrixed global organization. This position requires general accounting process knowledge, with a strong focus on systems thinking, controls, and project management, while providing critical feedback on implementation plans to ensure adoption of best practices.

Strategy & Vision:

Support the accounting and compliance team with the design and development of process in support of the Enterprise Services long-term strategy aligned with industry best practices as well as industry organizations to ensure our pro

cesses, tools, policies are aligned to Financial Services goals.

Best Practices:

Support Accounting and Compliance with implementation of industry best practices with continuous improvement methodologies to maintain and drive a world-class operation.  

Innovation:

Support value stream leaders in the identification and implementation of opportunities (leveraging GenAI, automation and other technologies) to enhance efficiency, reduce processing time & costs, ensure compliance controls, and improve employee experience. 

Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure solutions are implemented in compliance with global, regional, and local regulations, and company policies/controls, managing risks and mitigating potential issues.

Operational Excellence:

In partnership with the CORE organization, optimize operations across all regions, ensuring timely and accurate operations for a diverse global workforce.

Leadership:

As an individual contributor, this leader will influence leaders as well as develop credibility with stakeholders on proposed new ways of working to challenge the status quo.

Stakeholder Management:

Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, including functional areas such as Transformation/Strategy, HR, Finance, IT, Supply Chain, external vendors, and Business Unit accounting leaders to ensure seamless operations and integration with other business processes.

Data Analytics and Reporting:

Support monthly control tower reporting and utilize data analytics to provide insights and reporting on operational performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.

Leadership:

Play a key role in the management of several accounting and compliance projects, including separation and integration activities, and S4 Hana adoption.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • This role typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or another related field and a minimum of 12 years of progressive relevant experience in shared services, accounting or related field.
  • Expertise in domain area with at least 10 years in a leadership role within a large, complex organization or an advanced degree and 10 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in end-to-end accounting processes, and an understanding of US GAAP and the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations (COSO) controls framework
  • At least 10 years’ experience with strong focus on strategic thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, change management and collaboration. Work well under pressure, taking proactive measures against possible challenges, and resolving issues quickly, managing crises rapidly and effectively when necessary.
  • At least 10 years experience leading large complex cross-functional global projects to successful completion.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • An advanced degree in a related field.
  • Public accounting experience with either a “Big 4” public accounting firm or large regional firm
  • Experience with ERP solutions such as S4 HANA
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.

The salary range for this role is 162,000 USD - 326,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
