Job Title: Enterprise Account Manager

Location: Netherlands, Remote

Employment Type: Full-time

The Job 

The Enterprise Account Manager will be responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with major Nordics companies, driving business growth through AVEVA’s suite of products and services. This includes expanding AVEVA’s footprint within 2-3 large, complex accounts and acquiring new business from customers not currently using AVEVA solutions. Success in this role requires a strong growth mindset, strategic thinking, and the ability to deliver value-driven solutions across AVEVA’s portfolio. Regular regional travel and occasional international travel (approx. 40–50% PA) will be required.

As a trusted advisor, you will build deep relationships across all levels of your customer’s organisation, identifying opportunities and shaping business cases for investment in AVEVA’s platform. Your commercial and analytical skills will help uncover market trends and refine account plans to drive growth. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in complex enterprise environments and is passionate about helping customers achieve their business goals through digital transformation.

Key responsibilities 

  • Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the client organization.
  • New Business Acquisition: Identify and engage new customers, securing business with organizations not currently using AVEVA solutions.
  • Account Growth: Drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts to increase ARR and deepen AVEVA’s strategic value.
  • Sales Strategy: Implement and execute detailed account plans to achieve revenue targets and forecasts, from prospecting to deal closure.
  • Customer Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for the client, addressing their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Solution and Value Selling: Collaborate with internal teams to deliver customized solutions that meet the client's requirements and drive value.
  • Market Expertise: Stay informed on industry trends, customer needs, and competitive products to effectively position AVEVA’s solutions.
  • Reporting: Manage the sales pipeline using Salesforce and MEDDPICC methodology, providing regular updates on account performance.
  • Coordination: Coordinate AVEVA’s touch points globally, including local/regional sales account management, field service, customer technical support, industry and marketing principals, partners, and back-office areas such as purchasing and finance for named accounts.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Strive for high customer satisfaction and experience from a globally consistent AVEVA look, feel, and performance focused on value generation and sustainment.
  • Continuous Development: Stay up to date on AVEVA’s product offerings and sales methodologies through ongoing training.
     

Essential requirements

  • Proven experience in account management or solution-based direct sales, with a deep understanding of AVEVA’s target sectors (e.g., Manufacturing, Infrastructure, Energy, Mining, Marine etc) and how to sell into these industries.
  • Strong business development experience with a focus on hunting and securing new customers and business opportunities.
  • Track record in building executive-level relationships within global energy organizations, sales of complex B2B enterprise software, leading virtual account teams, and orchestrating complex global engagements.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver against an individual sales target and close complex software and product agreements.
  • Experienced in selling SaaS or DaaS (Data as a Service) solutions.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Deep trusted advisor status working with a customer organization within the energy vertical.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, with local language proficiency to a minimum level of B2.
  • Willingness to travel regionally and occasionally internationally (approx. 40–50% PA).

Desired skills

  • Proven experience in account management and a deep understanding of the CPG sector, and how to sell software into this industry.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and the MEDDPICC sales framework.
  • Additional local language skills are advantageous, espicially french.
  • Leveraging curiosity to understand the customer’s business goals, issues and priorities and how AVEVA can be an influential partner.
