Job Description

The Enrollment Services Specialist, serves as a key member of the Recruitment & Enrollment Services team, guiding admitted students through the critical transition from admission to enrollment. This position provides high-touch, personalized support to ensure that students understand and complete all next steps, including registration, orientation, and financial aid requirements.

The duty station for this position is located within Temple College, where the incumbent will provide on-site assistance to admitted and prospective students, strengthen institutional collaboration, and ensure seamless enrollment support for students transferring or enrolling through Temple College pathways.

This position reports directly to the Associate Director of Enrollment Services and plays a pivotal role in facilitating clear communication, interdepartmental coordination, and student guidance. By ensuring accurate, timely, and proactive outreach, the Enrollment Specialist helps remove barriers that may prevent students from enrolling and contributes to the university’s overall yield and student success outcomes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for admitted students within an assigned caseload or region.

  • Provides individualized guidance to help students complete all post-admission steps including accepting admission, submitting transcripts, meeting residency requirements, finalizing financial aid, and registering for classes.

  • Utilizes the university’s CRM and student information systems to monitor student progress through the enrollment funnel.

  • Proactively communicates with students via email, phone, text, and virtual appointments to provide reminders, resolve issues, and ensure completion of required steps.

  • Coordinates and conducts admitted student meetings, workshops, and enrollment-focused outreach campaigns.

  • Collaborates closely with financial aid, advising, registrar, and student success departments to facilitate smooth handoffs and ensure that students receive consistent, accurate information.

  • Maintains thorough documentation of all student interactions within the CRM.

  • Participates in cross-functional meetings to improve communication flow and process efficiency across enrollment touchpoints.

  • Provides regular updates and feedback on recurring student issues to improve institutional processes and communication strategies.

  • Assists in planning and executing events for admitted students including orientation sessions, enrollment days, and virtual onboarding experiences.

  • Participates in yield-focused outreach campaigns designed to increase enrollment conversion rates.

  • Monitors event participation and follows up with attendees to guide them through final enrollment steps.

  • Supports re-enrollment campaigns for stop-outs or students needing additional support.

  • Tracks and reports progress-to-enrollment metrics for assigned students.

  • Identifies and escalates enrollment barriers impacting conversion and retention.

  • Utilizes data dashboards to identify trends, measure communication effectiveness, and recommend process improvements.

  • Engages in continuous professional development to remain informed about enrollment trends, policies, and technology systems.

  • Participates in departmental meetings, trainings, and institutional initiatives as assigned.

  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the goals of the Enrollment Management division.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of admissions, enrollment, and student success processes in higher education.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse student populations.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Slate), Banner, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration across departments.

  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, access, and student-centered service.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Three years of related experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Experience working in higher education with CRM-based caseload management, financial aid processes, and cross-departmental student support models.

Work Environment and Travel

  • The duty station for this position is located within Temple College to provide in-person enrollment support for students in that region.

  • Occasional travel required for university events and off-site enrollment activities.

  • Evening and weekend hours may be required to support enrollment and onboarding events.

Salary: $43,888

Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:00 am to 5pm; night and weekends as needed.

Supervision of Others: This position does not supervise employees.

Work Location: This position may require frequent travel for meetings and/or training. This is not a remote position. The selected candidate will be required to work on campus.
