Major Duties:

  • You will serve as the technical expert for CNC machine tools.
  • You will establish repeatable manufacturing programming scripts that can be used for future projects requiring similar patterns of production.
  • You will evaluate project requirements and design plans for producing the end product with consideration to the business constraints such as time, materials and tool availability.
  • You will maintain compliance with all applicable standards, instructions, policies and legal requirements.

Qualifications: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Serving as the technical expert for technically sophisticated computer numerical control (CNC) machine tools, 2 axis through 6 axis; 2) Producing CNC programs using state of the art highly complex Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software; 3) Writing post processors for machine tools; 4) Providing detail instructions for machine setups, operations and compliance of blue prints and/or technical directives.
