Job Purpose:

This position, under the direction of the Operations Manager of Facilities, provides work direction and coordinates the work duties for a group of workers in a specific functional area.  Acts as a team coordinator and ensures that the work team provides excellent customer service in all job aspects.

Job Responsibilities:

  • 50%  1 - 6
    • Provides work direction to a work group and acts as a team coordinator. Assists in the planning and scheduling of the work.  Determines the sense of urgency for multiple tasks and prioritize how work should be delegated and accomplished.
    • Provides hands-on training and on-the-job guidance for the work team.
    • Helps focus the team's efforts on the overall mission of the functional area.
    • Spearheads process improvements and quality improvements and helps facilitate change.  Ensures smooth transitions to new ways of performing work.  Formulates strategies for cost reductions and energy savings.
    • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets.
    • Continually encourages teamwork, solicits recommendations for improvements and keeps team members informed.
  • 50%  7.  Serve as backup and perform duties of all assigned team members.

Job Requirements:

  • Four years technical training in the areas of mechanical, steam fitting, or electrical engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Five years previous work experience in elevator service and repair, mechanical maintenance, electronics, and/or journeyman level electrician.
  • Demonstration of effective planning and organizational skills through previous work assignments.
  • Demonstration of the ability to communicate project information clearly and effectively to internal customers via telecommunications equipment, in person, and in writing.
  • Satisfactorily perform all the tasks identified in the Physical Job Analysis to include lifting, carrying, and transporting up to 70 lbs (a preplacement job screening will be administered .
  • Hearing protection is required to be worn when exposed to noise levels exceeding 85 decibels in accordance with the Corporate Noise Abatement Policy.

Compensation may vary based on the job level, your geographic work location, position incentive plan and exemption status.

 

Base Salary Range:

$59,906.00 - $104,835.00
