We are looking for you to join our team as an Engineering Liaison Lead Level 5 serving in a Technical Liaison capacity. This role is part of the Supplier Management Team, a proactive and collaborative team working together with suppliers to achieve on-time and early deliveries.
What you’ll get to do:
The Engineering Liaison Lead Level 5 will lead a multiple-discipline engineering team to support critical suppliers. The team will consist of mechanical, manufacturing, industrial and quality engineers.
The role will interface directly and often onsite with suppliers to provide support in resolving production issues and implementing manufacturability improvements. This position requires multidisciplinary engineering knowledge including systems design, hardware engineering, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, and industrial engineering.
Because of the nature of working directly and onsite with suppliers, the candidate will be expected to travel and perform work at vendor sites approximately 75% of the time. As a result, this position is remote.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline with 12 years relevant experience; or Master’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline with 10 years of relevant work experience; or a PhD in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline with 7 years relevant experience
- 6 years’ experience as a technical project lead (e.g. IPT lead, functional lead, or equivalent)
- Understanding and ability to make technical decisions balancing cost and schedule
- Proficiency in reading/interpreting engineering drawings
- Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience with dimensional inspection methods and instruments
- Experienced in manufacturing task planning and inspection points
- Basic understanding of welding and non-destructive testing techniques
- Basic understanding of multi-axis machining capabilities
- US Citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
- Ability to travel 75%.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, and Design Engineering experience
- Self-directed technical leader with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Secret clearance
- Prior military or government contract experience
Primary Level Salary Range: $141,400.00 - $212,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
