Summary of Role:

As a Validation and Test Engineer, you will work on gallium nitride and other power semiconductor technologies, contributing to test and validation of semiconductor devices, operate and maintain test instruments, analyze test results and prepare test reports. You are also expected to design new test methodology, build test setups and automate testing. We are looking for candidates with strong fundamental knowledge of electronics and testing, good analytical skills, and some hands-on experience with testing semiconductor devices and programming.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Develop, operate and maintain test setups for validation and characterization of power GaN semiconductor devices.
• Perform various tests and analyze test data to characterize power GaN semiconductor devices.
• Prepare detailed test reports with recommendations for improvement of semiconductor manufacturing process.
• Develop new test solutions for validation of power GaN semiconductor devices.
• Support other teams across different geographies as per requirements.
• Working full time from GF Kolkata labs & committed to deliver within timelines.
• Collaborate with suppliers to develop, improve and maintain various test setups.
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or equivalent degree holders in Electrical/Electronic Engineering/Science with 4-6 years of experience
• Hands on experience in testing and characterizing semiconductor devices.
• Prior experience in using semiconductor testers like B1505 and wafer probe station.
• Proficient in both written & verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated analytical & positive thinking, desire to innovate, accountability for your work and people skills.
• Passionate about working with new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's or equivalent degree holders in Electrical/Electronic with 3-5 years of experience
• Engineering/Science and in-depth knowledge of semiconductor device physics.
• 2+ year experience developing test solutions for power GaN devices.
• Proficient in Python programming and automating test equipment.
• Good knowledge of Power Electronics Fundamentals.
• Prior experience in Spice simulation, PCB design.
• Flexible and enjoying the process to venture into uncharted waters.
