Job Description

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Typically requires 5+ Years of relevant experience in Mainframe Batch & Console operations.

- Knowledge and use of job scheduling software - CA-7 / CA-11 products.

  • Proficient in z/OS environment – MVS, JES2, ISPF, JCL.
  • Knowledgeable about fundamental instructions on MVS, JES2, DB2, and CICS.
  • Familiarity with PRE/POST IPL Process – Shutdown/Startup procedures for IDMS, DB2, and CICS.
  • Ability to handle console messages, WTOR’s, and resolve contention issues.
  • 2-year technical education beyond high school, equivalent work experience, or a combination of both.
  • Willingness to work any assigned shift, including weekends and holidays.
  • Reliable, dependable, and flexible to changing shifts.
  • Ability to learn new technologies in support of the job.
  • Proven ability to balance multiple tasks in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrated initiative and follow-through with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive relationship and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to travel to other sites if needed.

Strongly preferred but not required:

  • Prior experience in an IT Operations support role.
  • Familiarization with ITIL processes.
  • Experience using ServiceNow or other incident ticket tracking systems.
  • Experience with Event Management/Monitoring tools like Orion SolarWinds, Splunk, or Datadog.

UNIX and/or Windows server experience

  • Entry-level cloud experience.
  • As a public company, compliance with SOX, PCI, FDA, and other regulatory agencies/policies is essential. ITOC staff must assemble and retain appropriate artifacts for audit purposes and adhere to Global IT Policies & Procedures.
