Position Summary
Roles within System Integrity are responsible for implementation of Distribution and Transmission Integrity Management programs, as well as Corrosion Control. This includes understanding the design, development, execution, and reporting of DIMP and TIMP along with related compliance and risk mitigation programs including damage prevention, leak trending, and cathodic protection. The System Integrity team is also responsible for Distribution and Transmission Integrity management Plan revisions, documentation of standard operating practices involving inspection tools, methods, materials, and the preparations of associated technical reports and/or special project studies. Team members act as Subject Matter Experts providing technical support to the operations function as well as other functional areas within SJI.Roles and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
· Support the Distribution and Transmission Integrity Management Programs, data gathering/analysis, investigation of records, and oversight of integrity assessments.
· Coordinate with other departments as required to implement Integrity Management programs, identify system threats, monitor performance measures, and implement appropriate mitigation.
· Participate in periodic Integrity Management Effectiveness Reviews.
· Compile information for the Company’s annual distribution and transmission reports to DOT PHMSA. Assist with the data collection and preparation of other periodic regulatory reports.
· Coordinate with other departments in updating the company’s Operating, Maintenance, Construction, and Emergency Response manuals. Submit proposed changes for review.
· Conduct studies of a technical nature and/or participate in special task forces as assigned that will result in improvements to operations. Formulate recommendations that can be used to develop long range plans in operations.
· Provide technical support to other departments as needed.
This role will possess a comprehensive knowledge of professional engineering and/or technical concepts, principles, practices, and procedures. Knowledge of all phases of gas distribution and transmission operations and practices is preferred.
It is expected that your role applies intermediate level skills to projects or assignments within own group/project team. Additionally, it is expected that you will follow regulations and guidelines related to safety in both design and construction. You will receive general instructions on routine work and receive detailed instructions on new projects or assignments. Your role typically reports to Managers.
Additionally, the level and nature of interaction of your role includes:
· Working under direct guidance on a component of a project, interacting primarily within the job family
· Turning to supervisor and higher-level engineer or technical personnel for technical guidance
This is a role that contributes through own efforts and application of technical expertise, skills, or tasks. This usually requires specific training and certifications.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline with 2 years of relevant experience, or;
• Master’s degree in engineering or related discipline with 0 years of relevant experience..
• Advanced computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets) are required. Knowledge of GIS, database programs, and programing languages (SQL, python, etc.) is preferred.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills are required

Compensation Range:
$69,000 - 110,400We are committed to pay transparency and ensuring equitability compensation for all employees. The pay range for this position reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits, bonuses, or other forms of compensation that might be part of the total compensation package. The specific salary offered will be based on a candidate’s qualifications, education, and experience.
