We cultivate a culture that gives every CrowdStriker both the flexibility and autonomy to own their careers. We’re always looking to add talented CrowdStrikers to the team who have limitless passion, a relentless focus on innovation and a fanatical commitment to our customers, our community and each other. Ready to join a mission that matters? The future of cybersecurity starts with you.
About the Role:
As our new Software Engineer you'll contribute to the LogScale web-based application for observability, log management, and security events. You will independently implement features of moderate complexity while collaborating with senior engineers on larger initiatives. You'll work on our UI, Dashboards, web components and Data Visualization, taking increasing ownership of feature delivery from conception to deployment. You'll work closely with colleagues in your team as well as other teams across the broader CrowdStrike organisation.
LogScale is a CrowdStrike product for observability and log management to get insights into the truly massive amounts of log-events from software deployment, IT-services, IT-operations, and security. When you join CrowdStrike you'll be part of an exciting and fast growing company with a healthy culture. We are customer focused, value trust, take action, and deliver quality. In the LogScale business unit in particular we embrace the Danish concept hygge throughout.
Teams in LogScale have a great amount of autonomy, and own a part of the LogScale experience, from ideation and development to deployment and feedback. You'll take growing responsibility for ensuring high quality of the features you deliver, by writing automated tests, and performing manual tests. Moreover, we do not just throw over features to our operations teams, but we constantly observe and monitor new features in production, with LogScale dashboards of course.
We expect you to be proficient in frontend development, so you should be confident in web standards like HTML and CSS and have solid experience with frontend software development. You will work in our web application which is developed in Elm as well as working with our integration with the Falcon product that is developed in Ember. Elm is an exciting functional language for building reliable and high performance web applications. While we don't expect you to be an expert in Elm, you should be comfortable learning new technologies and have experience with web development frameworks like React, Ember or Angular - and languages like JavaScript and TypeScript. Our UI utilises TailwindCSS for styling and vega for visualization specification. You should have practical experience with visualization libraries like D3, Highcharts, or similar.
We believe it's important to inspire, support, and enable one another, so we've chosen a diverse group of talented, compassionate, and fun people to work with. The work is challenging, but you get the possibility to create your everyday work life. With us you have great flexibility to prioritize off-work commitments. We've found this to be the perfect mix, so if you see yourself as a great match, we'd love nothing more than for you to join us. We strongly encourage diversity, ownership and commitment from the employees in every team, and your inputs are always welcome. In general, you will experience a trusting culture throughout - from top to bottom.
Please Note: Candidates who apply and are successful; must be located within the Jylland/Jutland area to ensure an accessible commute into our Aarhus Office.

What You’ll Need:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT engineering or equivalent professional experience.

Solid understanding of software development principles and experience making technical trade-offs between delivery speed and long-term maintainability.
