Job Description:

The Role: Engineer II, Electrical & Control Engineering 

Our company is seeking an Engineer II, Electrical & Control Engineering to join our team. The Electrical Engineer is responsible for design, detailing, and documenting electrical and electro-mechanical systems used in Ultra High Purity (UHP) gas purification systems assembled at our facility. 

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Design electrical assemblies for UHP gas purification systems. Coordinate with the mechanical, software, and control system designers and other engineering teammates. 

  • Size and select components as required to meet UHP gas purifier system requirements. 

  • Create solid models, drawings, system schematics and other required documents to support development and production of systems. 

  • Perform and document mathematical computations and other analysis as required to support product design. 

  • Work with component suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure products meet design requirements. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review and improve designs, proposals, and engineering documentation. 

  • Take ownership of projects from concept through completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. 

  • Troubleshoot electrical issues both hands-on and virtually. 

  • Assist manufacturing technicians directly with electrical panel issues and provide clarifications as needed. 

  • Any other duties as assigned. 

 

What We Seek: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering 

  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills; ability to analyze data. 

  • Experience using 3D modeling program (SolidWorks preferred)  

  • Experience using 2D drafting program (Draftsight preferred). 

  • Experience in semiconductor equipment manufacturing (desirable) 

  • Electrical design of process or capital equipment (desirable) 

  • Experience with industrial control panels involving both low and high voltage systems. 

  • Familiarity with electrical design standards and codes such as UL489, SEMI S22, IEC, and NFPA. 

  • Proficiency in SAP ERP systems, especially BOMs, routings, and documentation. 

  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio) 

  • Experience with structured development processes such as stage gate methodologies (e.g., Accolade).  

  • Ability to prioritize workload and self-manage projects, handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines. 

  • Detail oriented and strong problem solving and decision-making skills. 

  • Able to work with all levels of employees and management within the organization. 

  • Comfort and ability to work within ambiguity. 

 

Outstanding Candidates Will Have: 

  • Exceptional documentation and technical writing capabilities.  

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment.  

  • Ability to effectively communicate, influence, and collaborate with personnel across all levels of the organization.  

  • Experience working in a global company with cross-site collaboration. 

  • Operate independently with minimal supervision.
