Engineer for Ariane 6 Production Quality

Job Description:

An opportunity for an Engineer in Ariane 6 Production Quality department has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid).

RESPONSIBILITIES

The jobholder will be responsible for:

  • Manage the manufacturing process and deliveries of the structures of Ariane 6 from a Quality point of view.

  • Manage the Non-Conformities and deviations opened during the manufacturing process.

  • Identification of  Non Conformities reduction opportunities. Follow up of their efficiency and cost reduction.

  • Definition and implementation of improvement projects to reduce Cost of Quality (inspections reduction and sampling).

  • Lead the quality activities for the new structures developments and modifications (Control plan, Inspection Registers, PFMEA, FAI,.…)

  • Launch and drive PPS process for critical and repetitive issues in the area.

  • Ensure efficiency of the defined actions.

  • Manage Operational Gates.

  • Support the OES implementation and lead the Customer pillar according to the expected maturity level.

  • Promote preventive Quality mindset within Ariane 6 teams, ensuring the implementation of basic Q processes (Quality authorization, Quality Delegation, Operational Suirvellance etc…)

SKILLS

  • Engineer degree

  • Languages: fluent in Spanish and English

  • Experience in Manufacturing or Quality desired

  • Good stakeholders management skills.

  • Knowledge of continuous improvement tools (Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 6 sigma) will be taken into account.
