We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join ICF’s Energy Advisory Services team as a Manager supporting the North American Natural Gas practice from our India office. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical capabilities, proven leadership experience, and a deep understanding of energy markets, particularly natural gas. As a manager, you will lead a team of analysts based in India, working closely with colleagues across North America to deliver high-impact insights and solutions to public and private sector clients. You will play a key role in ensuring quality delivery and fostering collaboration across geographies.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of energy analysts in the India office, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance oversight.
Collaborate with North American colleagues to deliver integrated consulting solutions across the natural gas value chain.
Perform extensive quantitative analysis to support key strategic messaging on consulting assignments.
Oversee the development and enhancement of ICF’s North American Gas Market Model (GMM), ensuring accuracy, relevance, and innovation.
Drive client engagements involving natural gas market fundamentals and forecasting, infrastructure planning and valuation, regulatory and policy impact assessments, and utility planning.
Ensure high-quality deliverables including reports, presentations, and quantitative models.
Utilize independent thinking and problem solving to assist ICF’s client base in answering the most interesting and complicated energy market issues facing the industry.
Promote a culture of independence, reliability, and continuous improvement within the team.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Energy Policy, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in energy consulting, utilities, or regulatory sectors, with a focus on natural gas.
Demonstrated ability to manage teams and/or projects independently.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of economic and energy market principles.
Excellent communication skills, including experience preparing and delivering client-ready presentations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and interest in applied economic modeling.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience managing teams in a consulting or analytical environment.
Deep understanding of North American natural gas markets, including upstream, midstream, and downstream dynamics.
Experience with market assessments, asset valuation, financial modeling, and risk analysis.
Familiarity with energy modeling tools and programming (e.g., Excel macros, Python, R, or statistical software).
Ability to work independently and reliably in a fast-paced, global team environment.
