ICF is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated junior Energy Analyst to join our program implementation team in the Utility Programs and Services Division.
This 16-month Co-Op is expected to begin May 1, 2026 through August 31, 2027. The position is hybrid from ICF’s Ottawa, Canada office. Pay is $25 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with program team members and cross-functional teams to enhance program success
Work as part of a team to complete complex application processes
Support technical reviews of commercial, institutional and industrial energy efficiency project applications
Engineering calculations for energy consuming equipment and program cost effectiveness
Document reviews using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel) and Adobe Reader
Liaise with program applicants for a successful and complete application
Provide ongoing utility client support as needed. Support will include program reporting, meeting attendance and other client communication as needed.
Analyze market trends, partners, and technologies to improve program delivery
Conduct energy audits and site visits to program applicant’s facilities
Managing administrative issues including maintaining updated Health & Safety protocols and ensuring they are implemented
Basic Qualifications
A minimum of 75 college-level credit hours completed towards a Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering, or a closely related discipline.
An undergrad student eligible for a 16-month Co-Op through QUIP at Queen’s.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, remotely, and on projects with dynamic timelines.
Experience or interest in energy efficiency, renewable energy, or related trade experience.
Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and analysis.
