Pay Range
$34.90 - $52.35Major Responsibilities:
Provide employee assistance services to managers, associates and their families, and to departments according to quality EAPA practice standards and ethical and legal norms
The provision of employee assistance services includes but is not limited to the following: Timely initial contact, assessment, development of care plan, completion of all required forms including consents, progress notes, maintaining confidentiality, and follow-up with all relevant parties.
Provide quality education in-service training as requested and indicated to work groups about relevant topics with a focus on improving the work-life environment and enhancing associate wellness
Act in a spirit of team work and cooperation reflective of the behavioral expectations and values of Advocate Health Care, including on-call rotation, being self-directed in professional development, completing all required paperwork, active participation in problem solving and team meeting
Provide employee assistance services to external companies, to their managers and their associates according to quality EAPA practice standards and ethical and legal norms
Provide behavioral health assessment and referral to appropriate providers and completion of the initial behavioral health certification form and all subsequent re-certifications
Provide employee assistance services when given a management referral including contact with the associate, manager, and human resources representative to address key concerns and careful follow-up with all relevant parties.
Education/Experience Required:
• Master’s degree • One year of experience in EAP field • Two years experience in Behavioral Health and/or addictions • This position will need to recognize needs and behaviors of a variety of age groups of patients treated, i.e., understand child growth and development, normal patterns of adolescent behavior and look for signs of normal aging; prior experience with various age groups is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
• Good clinical skills • Ability to cooperate and work well with others • Ability to work well independently • Good communications skills • Skilled in drug/alcohol assessment
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Marriage And Family Therapist
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
• Works under stressful conditions and in difficult situations • Climbs stairs frequently • Demonstrates flexibility in unexpected situations • Responds to calls during non-business hours • Travels to sites, offices, treatment centers, etc.
If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
