As part of the state’s only comprehensive academic health system, you’ll practice in a collaborative, well-resourced environment with strong clinical support and access to advanced technology. Our Emergency Medicine teams provide expert, timely treatment for a full spectrum of urgent and critical conditions, backed by skilled APPs, experienced nursing staff, and robust multi-specialty collaboration.

Our Emergency Medicine teams provide expert, timely treatment for a full spectrum of urgent and critical conditions, backed by skilled APPs, experienced nursing staff, and robust multi-specialty collaboration.

• Live and work in Columbia, South Carolina’s vibrant and creative capital city.
• APP support and outstanding nursing care – our NP and PA providers are experienced in EM
• Multi-specialty support for patient care needs.  The Columbia Medical Center - Downtown functions as a tertiary care facility with subspecialty services, including neurosurgery, urology, and interventional, cardiology, cardiothoracic, surgery, and more.
• Easy access to transfer to main campus from the other Midlands facilities."
• To give our physicians a work-life balance, scheduling is 2-3 months in advance
