Global Funds Management provides a centralized oversight program for various SSIM products and services by implementing, managing and/or overseeing the administration, tax, treasury, fund governance and regulatory reporting requirements for SSIM funds.

The strategic objective of the role is to ensure appropriate tax withholding, refunds are executed upon in a timely manner, reporting is undertaken where required, and is done so within the regulatory framework of the tax jurisdictions of operation and investment for SSIM EMEA products. We are looking for someone with custody and/or tax advisory background who can respond to the challenging questions and drive tax support for EMEA region.

What you will be responsible for

  • As a EMEA Fund Services Tax Compliance and Oversight you will:
  • Drive fund tax oversight processes for SSIM EMEA investment products such as investors tax reporting (i.e., UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy).
  • Proactively monitor tax legislative, regulatory, and/or administrative changes and cooperate closely with relevant stakeholders to maintain robust compliance posture amidst a changing regulatory landscape.
  • Be a go-to tax person for the internal stakeholders and support them to execute business unit strategy, product and geographic expansion.
  • Provide tax support to the internal partners in evaluating the tax implications, risks, and requirements associated with both new and existing products.
  • Drive relationships with key internal and external parties including consultants and tax advisors.
  • Collaborate with custodian of the SSIM EMEA investment products to ensure appropriate tax efficiency is applied when investment is outside the domicile of the fund.
  • Ability to self-reflect and critically review processes on an ongoing basis.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Equivalent to Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or relevant field
  • 10+ years of fund or custody tax experience, excellent knowledge of investors tax reporting and multiple withholding tax and funds tax regimes across the EMEA region.
  • Understanding of technology (e.g., industry platforms, data tools, portals, workflow, automation)
  • Proven experience in tax product support or tax operations within financial services, asset management, or custody environments.
