Global Sales Strategy & Operations (GSSO) is the team that helps shape Gartner's mission-critical sales priorities and works with sales leaders to drive tactical and analytical insights. As an associate on the GSSO team, you'll be at the forefront of the ongoing transformation of Gartner's sales force, which delivers approximately $4.9B in annual revenue and working to drive sustained double-digit growth. You will partner with business leaders across Gartner to support a global sales force comprised of more than 5,000 associates who sell to every major function, industry and market sector around the world.
About the role:
The role is a part of the Global Marketing team in GSSO. Within GSSO, the Global Marketing team designs digital and in-person marketing programs to help prospective customers understand how Gartner’s insights, advice, and tools can help them achieve the mission critical priorities that drive organizational performance. The team accelerates sales activity by attracting, engaging, and converting prospects through the delivery of compelling experiences across the buyer journey.
We are looking for an Email Developer to join the Digital Acquisition team, responsible for crafting innovative, brand-compliant email designs that engage both prospects and clients. This role will focus on developing visually compelling and technically robust email communications that align with our brand standards and drive acquisition objectives. Specific duties include but are not limited to coding email and landing pages, templating email builds, revamping outdated templates, quality assurance and control, and rigorous testing and debugging on all designs. This position will have the opportunity to develop business skills and acquire a broad understanding of Gartner with growth opportunities in digital marketing.
What you will do:
Create visually engaging, responsive, and accessible email templates using advanced HTML and CSS, ensuring consistent rendering across all major email clients and devices.
Ensure all email communications strictly adhere to established brand guidelines, maintaining a cohesive look and feel across prospect and client emails.
Implement best practices for deliverability, including authentication protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), and optimize emails for dark mode and cross-client compatibility.
Apply WCAG standards to guarantee emails are usable for all audiences, including those with disabilities.
Use tools like Email on Acid to preview, test, and troubleshoot email rendering issues across 100+ major email clients and devices.
Work closely with marketers, designers, and copywriters to align email content and design with campaign objectives.
Stay current with emerging email technologies, industry trends, and regulatory requirements to ensure best-in-class email marketing practices.
Conduct regular training sessions for Email Operations team to equip them with best practices to handle email builds.
What you will need:
Bachelor’s degree in arts or sciences
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in design/development
Strong mastery and experience in HTML and CSS. Experience with specific scripting languages like AMP script will be preferred
Hands-on experience in Adobe Dreamweaver and Photoshop or similar editors
Experience with Eloqua or similar email service providers.
Experience with analytics tools such as Email on Acid or Litmus is preferred
