Job Information:

Virtua Medical Group is seeking an Electrophysiology Advanced Practice Provider to join our growing outpatient EP team. This role focuses on the care of patients with cardiac rhythm disorders in an ambulatory setting, working collaboratively with our electrophysiologists, cardiologists, and multidisciplinary team members.

The ideal candidate is an experienced APP with a passion for cardiovascular care, strong clinical judgment, and a patient-centered approach. This position offers the opportunity to build lasting relationships with patients, contribute to quality initiatives, and play a key role in advancing Virtua’s comprehensive electrophysiology program.

Position Highlights

  • Provide advanced outpatient care for patients with arrhythmias and cardiac devices.
  • Perform detailed cardiovascular assessments, including ECG, Holter, telemetry, and device interrogations.
  • Manage antiarrhythmic and anticoagulation therapy in collaboration with supervising physicians.
  • Conduct pre- and post-procedure evaluations and coordinate ongoing follow-up for EP procedures such as ablation, cardioversion, and device implantation.
  • Perform in-clinic and remote device monitoring, interrogation, and reprogramming (pacemakers, ICDs, CRTs, and loop recorders).
  • Educate patients and families on arrhythmia management, device care, and lifestyle modification.
  • Collaborate with electrophysiologists and the care team to optimize continuity and outcomes across the outpatient EP program.
  • Participate in quality improvement and program development initiatives within the electrophysiology service line.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) in the State of New Jersey
  • Prior experience in cardiology, electrophysiology, or related specialty strongly preferred
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient education skills

Compensation:

The starting salary for an advanced practice provider in this specialty is: $115,000.00 (annually).
The actual compensation package could vary based on factors such as, but not limited to, the applicant’s experience, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
