At Univercells Technologies by Donaldson in Nivelles, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented professional to lead the lifecycle management and continuous improvement of our bioreactor hardware products, ensuring technical excellence, reliability, and compliance across all stages of development and production.
Role Responsibilities
Drive Hardware Product Life-Cycle & Change Management
- Lead and manage hardware updates, revisions, and continuous improvements throughout the entire product lifecycle — from initial design to production and service.
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance performance, reliability, manufacturability, cost-effectiveness and compliance of existing products.
- Ensure all changes comply with internal quality procedures, documentation standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate cross-functional reviews and approval processes (engineering, quality, manufacturing, supply chain) to secure alignment and proper change implementation.
- Maintain full traceability of product configurations and revisions through existing systems.
- Act as the technical coordinator between engineering and subcontractors to ensure smooth and consistent deployment of hardware modifications.
- Manage technical changes with suppliers and subcontractors, including dissemination of technical documentation, impact assessment, implementation follow-up, and compliance verification.
Act as Product Technical Reference
- Serve as the technical authority for existing hardware products, maintaining and sharing in-depth knowledge of design history and technical specifications.
- Provide technical support and guidance to R&D, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and field service teams regarding product functionality, limitations, and best practices.
- Lead troubleshooting activities and support root cause analysis to resolve complex hardware issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Prepare and maintain clear technical documentation, procedures, and training materials.
- Gather field feedback, analyze product performance, and propose design or process improvements to enhance reliability and maintainability.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master degree (or equivalent experience) in electro-mechanical or mechanical engineering with min 3 years of experience.
- Bachelor degree in electro-mechanical or mechanical engineering with min 5 years of experience.
- Fluent in both English and French (written and spoken).
- Self-driven and proactive, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong cross functional and interpersonal skills.
- Rigorous, with a strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and critical thinking.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in multidisciplinary machines (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation).
- Knowledge of industrial standards and certifications (e.g., CE, UL, ISO).
- Experience with SolidWorks.
