Electrical Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a professional Electrical Engineering Specialist to join our Buildings division in our New York, NY office! STV specializes in the planning, organization, and development of engineering activities for the construction and maintenance of building structures and facilities.  Our engineers work on high quality, high-profile, national and international projects. You will actively participate in the full project cycle, from the design phase through the final construction close-out.

The ideal candidate will have experience designing electrical systems for buildings and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary MEP environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design and develop power, lighting and fire alarm systems for building projects

  • Prepare drawings, specifications, and calculations in compliance with applicable codes and standards

  • Perform load calculations, short-circuit analysis, and voltage drop studies; coordinate with mechanical and plumbing engineers, architects, and contractors; review submittals, respond to RFIs, and perform site visits and inspections

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering

  • Minimum 3+ years' experience

  • EIT preferred

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit

  • Knowledge of applicable building codes, experience with lighting design and calculations

  • Experience with SKM or similar power analysis software

Compensation Range:

$82,265.06 - $109,686.74
