We bring the strength of more than 100 years of experience and renowned engineering expertise to meet the needs of today’s mission and stay ahead of tomorrow’s threat. Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.

The Advanced Effectors and Guidance Systems Department is searching for an Electrical Engineer II - Interconnect with experience in electrical interface types, connectors, harness development and interconnect schematics design. The focus of this role is to work with subsystem owners and develop an interconnect model. The interconnect model prescribes a system design and is used to inform cable design and electrical performance parameters. Interconnect models are used throughout a program’s lifecycle to capture the details of the design during development phase and later used for test validation of electrical parameters. Electrical Subsystem Interconnect Engineers collaborate with multiple subsystem responsible engineers, mechanical harness design teams, and work in conjunction with electronics system architects. We are seeking early career candidates willing to collaborate, innovate, and team with our engineers to generate and utilize today’s cutting-edge technology to develop electrical subsystems.

What You Will Do:

Job responsibilities of this role vary but include activities such as developing interconnect models; include integration and validation of electronics; analysis of hardware designs; influence architecture development/refinement; developing and documenting subsystem requirements and test plans; troubleshooting electronics in a lab or production environment, performing system and circuit level analysis, subsystem integration and test, supporting failure investigations, maintaining and creating documentation, and interacting with multi-discipline groups including suppliers.

  • Collaborate with both Functional and Program higher level management.
  • Collaborate with Customer and Suppliers.
  • Collaborate with program leadership and system stakeholders from all disciplines for model definition.
  • Compile inputs from system requirements, architecture, electrical interface parameters, schematics, and hardware specifications into interconnect model
  • Collaborate with mechanical harness design teams on cable design and routing.
  • Conduct meetings with stakeholders to align teams with model status.
  • Prepare and conduct peer reviews for model contents.
  • Prepare and present packages for engineering review.
