Job Description

The Ecolabel Specialist will join the Global Sustainability team, focusing on our global efforts to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer by improving practices in our operations, products, and supply chain. This position reports to the Sustainability Program Director and will focus on working across the company to support the delivery of our ACT Ecolabel program and other programs as appropriate. 

 

What will you do? 

  • Support the development and execution of a company-wide lab product sustainability verification program 

  • Develop and support continuous improvement of program resources, such as data collection toolkits, FAQs, and training resources, to improve understanding and streamline process execution  

  • Lead the day-to-day data collection, quality control, coordination with product teams and auditors, and submission into verification platform  

  • Craft and maintain scalable processes to effectively report out on program implementation, including visual dashboards and data management  

  • Communicate and educate internal colleagues on our company approach  

  • Collaborate with Design for Sustainability team and other business colleagues to standardize product data governance and drive R&D alignment with the program criteria  

  • Provide analysis on trends of ecolabel adoption and performance among competitors  

  • Support development and execution of other Global Sustainability programs and initiatives as appropriate, such as ISCC PLUS Ecolabel Certifications. 

 

Technical Responsibilities 

  • Gives updates to overall project plans, tracking key achievements, and timelines  

  • Detects, calls out, and facilitates issue resolution and/or appropriate partner concern and address program risk  

  • Finds opportunities to drive continuous improvement  

  • Supports data analysis to drive action against objectives 

  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Smartsheet, and Excel preferred 

 

How will you get here? 

 

  • Bachelors degree required. Engineering, Business, Analytics, or Environmental Sciences preferred  

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience. Project management experience preferred  

  • Background in large life science, pharma, and/or manufacturing industry preferred  

  • Shown passion for corporate environmental sustainability  

  • Well-developed analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills  

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to tailor data-heavy messages to specific audiences  

  • Proven experience in a role requiring high-attention to detail, data analysis, and organization skills in a fast-paced environment  

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver assigned projects, with outstanding capability to follow-up and follow-through  

  • Ability to work independently, within a team, and across teams
