What Are Your Responsibilities? 

The Analytics & Consulting Associate Intern will support the Customer Service Analytics & Consulting team in executing high-impact, enterprise-level consulting and analytics engagements. The intern will help solve complex business problems by analyzing data, assisting with low-code solution development, and contributing to automation and AI-enablement initiatives across the division.

In this role, you will:

  • The intern in this role will assist in translating business questions into analytical requirements, developing insight-driven reports and visualizations using data from internal and external sources.
  • Contribute to process automation and efficiency efforts, including self-service tooling (Excel/Power Query), Power Automate workflows, and exposure to robotic process automation (RPA) concepts.
  • Support low-code innovation by assisting analysts and consultants with requirements gathering process mapping, user acceptance testing (UAT), and solution validation for Power Apps and Power BI dashboards.
  • Participate in AI readiness and applied AI use cases, exploring opportunities to integrate GenAI and copilots into analytics, documentation, and workflow design.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners, gaining exposure to enterprise project work spanning Customer Service, Member Experience, Provider Operations, and Strategy.
  • Work within an Agile/iterative delivery model, assisting with sprint ceremonies, user story creation, backlog refinement, and acceptance criteria documentation.
  • Engage with leaders and stakeholders to synthesize insights, prepare presentations, and support change management activities.
  • Perform research and assist in analyzing business challenges tied to strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and automation opportunities.
  • Produce and deliver a capstone presentation highlighting project results, lessons learned, measurable impact, and recommendations for future implementation.

This role will also need to:

  • Comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, Compliance Program policies and other applicable corporate and departmental policies. 
  • Maintain complete confidentiality of company business.
  • Maintain communication with management regarding development within areas of assigned responsibilities and perform special projects as required or requested.
  • Create a final internship PowerPoint presentation to share with department leadership covering the internship experience, the assigned project over the course of the summer, including the results along with any solutions or recommendations that can be leveraged by the department in the future.

What Do You Need To Be Successful? 

  • A curious and analytical mindset and enthusiasm for learning how analytics and consulting come together to solve real problems.
  • Strong interest in AI and automation, including copilots, machine learning concepts, or intelligent workflow design.
  • Experience (or strong desire to learn) the Microsoft Power Platform — Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Query, Power FX, etc.
  • Ability to break down ambiguous problems through structured thinking, analysis, and creativity.
  • Comfortable researching, documenting, and synthesizing insights into clear recommendations.
  • Strong communication skills, including storytelling through data and presenting to stakeholders.
  • Enthusiasm for continuous learning, experimentation, and sharing knowledge with peers.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset — willingness to take initiative, test ideas, and learn through iteration.
  • Curiosity about the healthcare industry, including how analytics and technology improve service delivery.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative approach, and professional demeanor.
  • Proficiency with core productivity tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word (experience with Access is optional but welcome).

What Are the Requirements You Must Meet?

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or other STEM related fields.
  • Graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0
  • Availability to work 10 weeks during the summer (June – August)
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. (Currently, we are not offering this program to students on a visa)

The compensation offered will vary depending on your job-related skills, education, knowledge, and experience. This role aligns with an annual incentive bonus plan subject to the terms and the conditions of the plan.

Base Pay Range

$18.10 - $37.10
