Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an early career Staff Analyst (Level 2) to join the Space Launch System (SLS) program in Huntsville, AL.

This position will be part of the Program Integration team and support programmatic, financial, operational, and data-driven decisions. The analyst is responsible for conducting research, performing quantitative and qualitative analyses, preparing briefings and reports, facilitating large meetings/events, and coordinating cross-functional activities/deliverables. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

·         Prepare senior leadership briefings, dashboards, status reports, and recommended actions for internal and external stakeholders.

·         Facilitate strategic and working meetings (agendas, logistics), capture decisions and action items, and ensure timely follow-through.

·         Conduct data collection, cleansing, validation, and analysis to support program and business decisions.

·         Develop, maintain, and automate regular and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and performance metrics, leveraging new technologies and artificial intelligence where possible.

·         Prepare clear written products (memos, reports, briefings, slide decks) summarizing analysis, findings, and recommendations.

·         Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities in coordination with finance and program teams.

·         Conduct process reviews and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance, and quality.

·         Assist with project planning, schedule tracking, risk identification, and status reporting.

·         Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, validate assumptions, and present results.

·         Support workforce planning, staffing actions, and training forecasts/schedules.

·         Lead Records and Information Management (RIM) initiatives and oversee implementation across functional organizations.

·         Lead continuous improvement, process optimization, and artificial intelligence initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce cycle times, and resolve discrepancies.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work at the listed location.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

·         Bachelor’s degree in Business or Technical field (e.g. Finance, Contracting, Acquisition Mgt, Data Analytics, Statistics, Math, Engineering) or 2–4 years of relevant professional experience in analytics, program support, financial analysis, or operations.

·         Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and spreadsheet tools (Excel — formulas, pivot tables, data visualization, power pivot/query).

·         Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to create concise executive-level deliverables.

·         Demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail.

·         Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

·         Strong interpersonal skills and experience working in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

·         Experience with scripting or data manipulation languages (e.g., Python, R) or advanced SQL skills.

·         Experience with data analysis/business intelligence (BI) tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) or SQL.

·         Experience in project, program, or contract management, government or defense sector experience.

·         Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Agile/Scrum).

·         Experience with process improvement methods (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).

Summary pay range: $63,750 – $86,250
