Our Digital Technology (Digital) organization ensures that RTX teams across the globe can communicate, collaborate, and innovate for customer success.  As a Raytheon Digital Technology Program Digital Services (PDS) Systems Administration Senior Manager and Deputy Product Owner, you will collaborate and partner with many cross-sections of Digital, Engineering, Cybersecurity, and Program Leadership partners, in support of the Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) Strategic Business Unit.

In this role as System Administration Sr. Manager and Deputy Product Owner (DPO), this leader will be responsible for leading a team consisting of approximately (11) eleven systems administrators to enable program execution across multiple security domains, which include engineering labs, testing ranges, and factories.  The leader will establish a vision, set direction, develop, and motivate high-performing technical professionals to deliver business value and results.  The leader will partner across Digital and other RTX functions to drive new technology insertion, sustainment direction, and support programs through the entire lifecycle. This role will serve as the DPO and will be accountable for all assigned Digital Technology (DT) initiatives within a Raytheon Information System (IS) and Program Work Environment (PWEs). This role is responsible for ensuring that digital solutions align with program objectives, comply with Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements, and Raytheon information technology standards. The DPO is accountable for delivering digital capabilities within defined cost, schedule, quality, and performance parameters, ensuring technology solutions are mission ready. The leader will also have responsibility for people management including hiring, staff development, training, and performance appraisals.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and lead a high-performing team; oversee performance management, task assignment, training, and onboarding to ensure alignment with Raytheon’s vision and values.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders including peer groups, Program Leads, Cyber Teams, and Engineering—to enable seamless Digital service delivery and technology evolution.
  • Lead Agile planning and execution, including Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, and Rolling Wave Planning cycles; create and manage Sprint Plans, Stories, and Epics, and define the ‘definition of done’ using JIRA and JIRA Service Management tools.
  • Assess whether new program requirements can be met by existing infrastructure or if new/modifications to PWE are required, considering cost impacts to DT and the program.
  • Serve as the technical and administrative Digital Technology (DT) Point of Contact (POC) for the Program Work Environment (PWE).
  • Ensure appropriate and sustained funding for PWE build-out and lifecycle support; align with Capital, Growth, AOP (Annual Operating Plan), and LRP (Long-Range Planning) activities.
  • Develop and maintain hardware and software refresh/replacement plans to support program lifecycle needs.
  • Create and submit periodic status reports and accomplishments to the next level of leadership.
  • This position will require onsite work presence but will allow for some work for home opportunities.
  • Up to 15% of travel, most will be within 45 min – 90 min to other supported RTX locations in the MA, RI, and NH areas.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience, or advanced degree with 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Must have active and transferrable final U.S. government issued secret security clearance is required prior to start date. US citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.”
  • Experience with IT System Administration duties
  • Experience managing, supervising, or leading a team.

  • Technical experience with computer infrastructure including Servers (Windows, Linux), Storage, Virtualization / Cloud technologies, networking systems, directory services management, and system hardening.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), and Registered Product Owner (RPO) Certifications
  • Experience with JIRA, JIRA Service Management, and Confluence
  • Knowledge of DFARs, CMMC, RMF, DAAPM, and JSIG requirements and controls. Knowledge of best practices in Cybersecurity.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
