Dry Creek South Australia Part time

About the Role

We have an exciting full-time permanent opportunity for an experienced Dockhand at our Depot in Dry Creek, SA.

Benefits:

  • Working hours: 2:30pm – 7:30pm Monday – Friday

  • Strong focus on safety and keeping our team members safe

  • All PPE and uniforms provided

Licences Required:

  • Forklift Licence (FL) – Desirable

  • C Class Licence – Required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading and wrapping pallets

  • Lodging freight with on-forwarders

  • PUD support if required

  • Scanning leftover freight into the depot

  • Processing, weighing, and recording freight

  • Assisting office staff with freight queries

  • Supporting PUD small parcel fleet

  • Maintaining a tidy and hazard-free yard

  • Act in accordance with HSE responsibilities

About You – Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a freight business

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Ability to self-manage and work independently

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • High attention to detail

  • Understanding of handling and consigning dangerous goods

  • Ability to pass pre-employment checks (medical, background, D&A)

  • Physically fit to perform manual handling of freight
