This role is responsible for Distribution and Logistics operations for Turkiye. Reporting to Sr Director Distribution & Logistics for Asia, Middle East, and Africa, this role will manage DC operations for Turkiye including support for inbound logistics and customs. Main KPIs for this role are Service Levels, OTFR (Ontime Fulfillment Rate), Cost Metrices, and 3PL management/relationships.
Other deliverables include 3PL management, developing a professional and accountable DC team through 3PL, and managing on-time and accurate deliveries (transportation) to customers in Turkiye.
This role is responsible for building strong working relationships with commercial, planning, finance, order management, IT, and trade compliance teams to grow business and drive continuous improvement agenda.
About the Job
- Plan, organize, and control processes and systems for distribution network, and implement robust supply chain practices to deliver excellent and responsive service to the business.
- Develop and drive operational excellence at DC, and for inbound/outbound logistics flows.
- Accountable for delivery and year-to-year improvement of business results: financial, service, and employee engagement.
- Work closely with local and regional team members to track monthly and quarterly targets, and ensure customer orders are delivered on time.
- Manage logistics vendor strategies: new vendor identification, review, negotiations, and selection to meet company's distribution and logistics outsourcing needs.
- Drive continual measurement of vendors’ service standards and productivity levels to ensure that vendors are meeting agreed targets.
- Responsible for working on annual DC and logistics operations budget and track and oversee these to ensure that cost performance is within budget as well as delivering on a cost reduction schedule.
- Develop and maintain relationships with inside and outside organizations to bring leading edge technology, tools, and systems to improve productivity and processes.
- Provide guidance to the 3PL distribution and logistics team. Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual goals are communicated and completed. Influence team members to partner together to achieve individual and business goals.
- Deliver on our commitments and leverage distribution and logistics capabilities to drive profitable growth.
- Leverage analytics and new technologies to make faster, data-based decisions to drive productivity.
- Integrate sustainable & financially responsible solutions in our value chain that align with LS&Co. targets.
- Develop and implement departmental goals and objectives, in alignment with organizational priorities.
- Manage workload and prioritize projects to ensure timely delivery of results.
- Coordinate with other departments or teams to facilitate cross-functional collaboration and synergies.
- Serve as a point of contact for escalated issues and resolving conflicts.
- Communicate departmental updates, progress, and achievements to senior management and stakeholders.
Reporting Structure:
Reports to Sr Director D&L AMA based in Hong Kong. The role requires extensive collaboration, reporting, and engagement with local stakeholders including commercial leads, finance, planning, Order Management, logistics, trade compliance, and other cross functional partners.
Location and Travel Requirements:
Hybrid office environment. Position will require domestic travel to DCs, 3PLs, suppliers, and customers, with some international travel expected (1-2 times a year).
Job requires the following physical activities: domestic and international travel, use of computer.

Education/Experience:
Technical Skills:
- Strong analytical capability, with “business case” driven approach to decision making
- Knowledge of key distribution and logistics processes with up-to-date knowledge of technology and current best practices.
- Good understanding of logistics and trade compliance.
- Able to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and matrix reporting organization.
- Excellent communicator and a team player who collaborates effectively across various functions/teams.
- Problem solver with a high sense of urgency (able to move fast). Takes initiative to develop and implement solutions.
- Strong command of English and Turkish language.
