As a leader in the aerospace industry, we have a new and exciting opening for a Dispatch Operative.

Responsible for picking and packing and dispatching goods to customers to target, you would be working within a team of 3 employees and under Dispatch Supervisor. Full training will be given

What you will do:

  • Liaise with final Inspection for parts coming through to Dispatch. Book in the works orders to Finished Goods ensuring you have the correct qty of units and correct serial numbers as detailed on the route card. Ensure all parts are bagged and tagged with the accurate serial numbers labels.
  • Check the live sales order reports and ERP system (IMS) to see what parts are due to ship.
  • Raise the delivery notes against the live sales orders and ensure the serial numbers are logged on the delivery note and that they match that of the route card. Make sure all needed information is included on delivery notes, liaise with other departments if not (Sales, Quality Assurance, Repairs etc).
  • Ensure any parts not being due to ship are booked into a location within the Finished Goods Store and make sure they are physically taken to that location.
  • Liaise with couriers: FedEx, UPS, DHL etc. & provide tracking information on request.
  • Assist with cycle counts on a weekly basis as instructed. Make sure all production/dispatch paperwork is scanned up to date and saved on the system.
  • Liaise with the Purchasing Team and the supplier to ensure we always have adequate Packing materials on site, and that they are stored in an appropriate manor.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Educated to either GCSE or equivalent in Mathematics and English.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a wider team.
  • Basic understanding if Microsoft Office to include Office, Word and Excel.
  • Ability to prioritise workload.
  • Experience of working within a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good communications and numerical skills; written and verbal.
  • Team Player.
