A senior position that has end to end accountability for a portfolio of clients in the Trade Finance business across IB&M segments.

The role reports to Executive Director, Trade Finance Sales, in Commodities, Trade and Carbon (CTC) and will work closely with stakeholders across CTC, Coverage and Risk teams.

Do work that matters:

You will run a portfolio of clients and facilitate growth through origination, structuring and delivery of trade finance and working capital solution solutions to a portfolio of IB&M clients including:

  • Implementation and management: Drive the effective and efficient delivery of performance outcomes for a portfolio of IB&M clients (Revenue, Risk, NPAT, and Profit after Capital Charge) in accordance to plan, CBA values and risk framework;

  • Strategy: contribute to identifying and developing client centric and commercially strategic solutions and sector focused business plans for achieving IB&M portfolio growth; contribute ideas and options to develop or align with the wider CTC strategy;

  • Client/Industry/Market: Develop deep understanding of the dynamics influencing your portfolio of IB&M clients to allow for continual growth. Be able to anticipate and adapt to changing client and environmental needs and demonstrate a knowledge of commodity markets, credit and structuring;

  • Relationships: Understand and develop strategic, long term stakeholder relationships and influence and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders in the origination, implementation and execution of pipeline opportunities; and

  • Product/Solutions: Understand CTC’s product and solutions capabilities and contribute to their continuous development and improvement; work in conjunction with product partners to match client needs to working capital solutions.

This will be a hands-on role, responsible for analytical work as well as client management and product distribution, in order to meet the agile and rapid delivery demands of the business. As such, we require a highly skilled, experienced and analytical candidate.

  • Demonstrated exceptional technical trade structuring capability across all working capital and structured trade products and propositions

  • Strong track record of outperformance in a Trade Finance structuring and sales role

  • Demonstrated understanding of client needs across diversified industry segments

  • Solutions and delivery focussed, proactive, collaborative, lateral thinker, with a continuous learning approach

  • Technically advanced data and analytic skills

  • Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders in all forms of communication

  • Proactive and passionate with high energy, able to operate at pace and bring a growth mindset
