Summary

This position will be responsible for managing the production of EOD P&L and Exposure reports as well as oversight for

key trading risk controls, with a focus on North America Natural Gas, Power & Environmental Products. This role will serve as a key Point of Contact in finance for understanding supply and optimization strategies, hedging, pricing, markets and regulatory implications.  Will work closely with supply team, market and credit risk, scheduling, compliance, legal and IT.  

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage a global team, developing and mentoring talent. Set strategic goals, provide guidance and support, and ensure the team's adherence to best practices and industry standards that foster continuous improvement and the continued development of a robust risk culture that evolves with the business.

Oversee the production of accurate and timely EOD P&L and exposure reports, ensuring the integrity of key controls and overall adherence to our Risk Policy and Framework. Provide comprehensive explanations of P&L movements to management, including analysis of trading activity, key drivers, and profit attribution.

Serve as Product Owner for the ETRM system, representing the business users. Prioritize issues related to Running the Business, and drive projects to improve processes, enhance system interfaces, and optimize the utilization of the ETRM system.

As a Business Partner, collaborate closely with the commercial team in providing strategic analysis to identify and assess business risk and support decision-making processes. Articulate the impact of market and price volatility on P&L, cash flow, and working capital. Ensure accurate representation of deal economics and exposures in trading systems.

Education and Experience Requirements

10+ years of middle office experience in Global Energy Markets with deep understanding of North American Natural Gas and Power Markets, including expertise in load forecasting, Asset Optimization, and RECs, in both Retail and Wholesale markets. Product Owner experience with ETRM platforms with experience in ETRM implementations. Strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability for facilitating cross-functional collaboration in the delivery of scalable and sustainable solutions for the organization.
