PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

 

This role leads the strategic sourcing function across a portfolio of categories, including development and implementation of strategic and operational sourcing, category management and supply management strategies, to ensure Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) attains the best value in the goods and services required to enable achievement of its goals.

 

This role reports directly to Sourcing & Procurement Geo lead, Great China & Korea and matrix reports to Work Dynamics TaiWan Head. This role requires a multi-disciplined subject matter expert in Integrated Facility Management (IFM), to manage complex initiatives and integrated outsourcing programs.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Establish, lead, and execute category plans, strategies, and frameworks, including market approaches, procurement analysis, supplier development and evaluation, to meet Clients needs and expectations.

  • Lead efforts to improve supply chain efficiency, maintain service and product quality standards, and reduce costs.

  • Identify and evaluate new market trends, dynamics, and opportunities, to deliver market strategies and procurement decisions that meets JLL and Client needs.

  • Provide expert advice to key stakeholders and Clients on all aspects of the procurement category strategy, to encourage innovative practices and support delivery of business outcome.

  • Establish and enhance stakeholder and Client engagement to ensure that sourcing strategies meet JLL, and the Client needs.

  • Develop optimal sourcing strategies to achieve consistent, quality outcomes for the category, given the diverse needs of Clients.

  • Conduct negotiations on critical, complex supply arrangements and manage contract negotiations to deliver favourable category outcomes.

  • Supervise and direct the work of the Category management personnel and cross-functional working groups to achieve a high-level of performance, integration, and consistency.

  • Report on procurement activity in terms of progress, results, Client satisfaction, value, and cost.

  • Keep informed of the supply market dynamics and trends and develop strategies to maintain JLL influence in the market.

  • Conduct a business impact analysis to determine and manage potential supply chain risks to minimise negative impacts to JLL and its Clients.

  • Assist in developing and communicating the IFM and Sourcing & Procurement vision to the client, JLL, vendors and Strategic Alliance Partners.

  • Implementing and maintaining procurement rules and standards set by JLL and client.

  • Undertake any other duties that may reasonably be requested by your line manager.

 

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION:  KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

 

Ideal Experience

  • Business / Commerce Degree with at least 10 years’ experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing and negotiation, especially in SEMI-CON industry.

  • Relevant work experience in IFM with knowledge of procurement for services related to facility management will be highly regarded.

  • Management experience in integrated outsourcing and supply chain management and procurement.

  • Applied knowledge of facilities management, maintenance operations and engineering and risk management and capable of changing them to meet new and evolving needs will be highly regarded.

  • Management of outsourcing relationships and the ability to accomplish results through vendor management.

  • Negotiations of vendor contracts drawing upon good contract management skills, negotiation and problem solving.

Financial Modelling

·       Competency in financial modelling, feasibility studies and total cost of ownership analysis.

·       Ability to analyse complex problems and generate solutions.

Influencing Skills

·       Exhibit exceptional relationship management and conflict management capabilities to guide the company-vendor relationship.

·       Proven ability to lead by example, with strong influencing skills.

·       Experience managing procurement activities for multiple clients.

Bi-lingual communication skill

·       Fluent English communication skill for both oral and written.
