The Director, Program Management - QRA Governance is responsible for managing the end-to-end governance for the Quality & Regulatory Affairs (QRA) function. In this role, you will work closely with the Chief QRA officer, senior QRA leadership and the QRA team to ensure business objectives are achieved per plan. You will also provide support, as needed, to the Chief QRA Officer and Senior QRA leadership team.
Key Responsibilities include:
QRA Governance Oversight: (70% of role)
- Develop, implement, and lead a standardized governance framework across QRA
- Ensure that governance processes and guidelines are communicated clearly to all project teams and that teams adhere to these standards.
- Lead training and onboarding initiatives for project teams regarding governance processes and tools, ensuring alignment and consistency.
- Organize, oversee, and ensure the successful execution of key governance meetings to facilitate decision-making and project tracking.
- Ensure accurate handling of roll-up and escalation of content and risks.
- Develop and manage a status dashboard to provide senior management with timely and accurate information on the status of the deliverables.
Support for Chief QRA Officer & Senior QRA Leadership team: (30% of role)
- Provide guidance and insights on QRA initiatives and organizational priorities.
- Ensure alignment between the Chief QRA office and broader business objectives, facilitating effective communication and collaboration across teams.
- Lead key initiatives and projects on behalf of the Chief QRA Officer, ensuring delivery against timelines, goals, and budgets.
- Support the Chief QRA officer in handling executive communication, board-level updates, and town halls
- Overseeing the Organizational business & financial objectives.
What You'll Bring to Alcon
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +18 yrs; Assoc.+14 yrs; M.S.+7 yrs; PhD+6 yrs)
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
- 10 Years of Relevant Experience
- Travel: 30+ % Global
- Work Location: Onsite - Fort Worth, TX - Main Campus

Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Experience
- Experience in a project management role within a medical device or life sciences organization.
- Proven experience in program management, governance frameworks, and project excellence within a medical device or life science organization.
- Strong background in governance frameworks, stakeholder management, and change management.
- Direct experience in training development, resource planning, and performance management within cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
- High proficiency in project management software tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Continuous Improvement experience using operational excellence tools
