Position Summary

You will lead one of the Reporting Product Teams, responsible for defining the strategic vision and driving execution across multiple reporting solutions and data products. The right candidate is a strategic leader and exceptional people manager who can elevate product management practices, build high-performing teams, and drive organizational alignment around product priorities. You demonstrate excellence in stakeholder management at the executive level, possess deep technical fluency, and can balance strategic thinking with tactical execution. You inspire and mentor product managers while maintaining a customer-obsessed approach that delivers measurable business outcomes. Prior technical and data background is required.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap for the reporting product portfolio, aligned with company strategy and market opportunities
  • Lead portfolio planning and prioritization across multiple products, balancing innovation, technical debt, and business value
  • Partner with leadership on go-to-market strategy and product positioning
  • Establish product metrics, KPIs, and success criteria that tie to business outcomes

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, mentor, and manage a team of product managers and associate product managers
  • Establish product management best practices, frameworks, and processes across the team
  • Foster a culture of innovation, customer empathy, and data-driven decision making
  • Conduct performance management, career development, and succession planning for product team members
  • Partner with talent acquisition to recruit and build a world-class product organization

Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Partner directly with senior leadership, and key business stakeholders to align on product strategy and secure buy-in for major initiatives
  • Present product vision, roadmap updates, and business cases to executive leadership
  • Manage relationships with enterprise customers and partners to understand needs and gather strategic feedback
  • Communicate product strategy, priorities, and progress across the organization with clarity and influence

Product Development & Execution

  • Own end-to-end product lifecycle from concept through launch and optimization
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure successful product delivery
  • Drive user research initiatives to deeply understand customer needs, pain points, and market dynamics
  • Balance customer demands with technical feasibility and business viability when making prioritization decisions
  • Recommend and implement new opportunities based on comprehensive market analysis, competitive intelligence, and emerging industry trends
  • Monitor product performance and drive continuous improvement through data analysis and customer feedback
  • Ensure products are delivered on time with exceptional quality in accordance with corporate standards

Required Skills & Experience

Product Management Expertise

  • Product management experience within a leadership role managing product managers
  • Proven track record of building and scaling data products, analytics platforms, or B2B SaaS solutions
  • Expert-level understanding of agile methodologies, product development frameworks, and modern product practices
  • Deep experience with product strategy, roadmapping, and portfolio management

Leadership & People Management

  • Demonstrated success building and leading high-performing product teams
  • Strong coaching and mentoring capabilities with a track record of developing product talent
  • Ability to influence and inspire without direct authority across all organizational levels
  • Experience managing through organizational change and ambiguity

Technical & Domain Knowledge

  • Strong technical background with ability to engage credibly with engineering teams on architecture, data models, and technical tradeoffs
  • Deep expertise in reporting, analytics, data visualization, and business intelligence domains
  • Understanding of modern data architectures, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and data engineering practices
  • Familiarity with advertising technology, digital marketing, or media industry preferred

Strategic & Analytical Skills

  • Strategic thinker with ability to anticipate market shifts and identify opportunities
  • Strong business acumen with ability to develop compelling business cases and ROI analyses
  • Advanced analytical skills with ability to leverage data to drive decisions and measure impact
  • Experience conducting market research, competitive analysis, and customer discovery

Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Outstanding executive presence and communication skills with ability to influence senior leadership
  • Proven ability to build consensus and drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Excellence in both written and verbal communication including presentations, documentation, and storytelling
  • Experience presenting to C-suite executives and board members

Customer Focus

  • Deep commitment to understanding and solving customer problems
  • Track record of delivering customer-first solutions that drive satisfaction and business outcomes
  • Experience conducting customer research, user testing, and gathering feedback
  • Ability to balance customer needs with business objectives and technical constraints

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience in advertising technology, marketing technology, or data/analytics platforms
  • Background in management consulting or strategy
  • Published thought leadership or speaking engagements at industry conferences
  • Experience with both waterfall and agile methodologies in enterprise environments
