Director, Product Management
Overview:
As Mastercard Canada seeks to define a world beyond cash and cheques, we are pursuing payment opportunities leveraging non-card technologies and continuing our rapid push past consumer-to-business payments. As a multi-rail payments company, the New Payment Platforms team in Canada works with Canada’s major eco-system partners to build new payments infrastructure, new and alternate payment rails, new products, capabilities and services for Mastercard in Canada and beyond.
Mastercard Canada is looking for a Director- Product Management, Transfer Solutions. Reporting to the Lead of Transfer Solutions in Canada, the Director, Product Management will lead the Domestic Money Movement product and capabilities for Canada, including the strategy, day-to-day product management as well as strategic initiatives related to Mastercard Move and other associated money movement capabilities.
Role
• Direct all product management and strategic support functions across Domestic Money Movement capabilities
• Partnering with the Transfer Solutions lead for Canada, work with the North American Sales and Customer growth leads to implement and scale new customers.
• Onboard new customers in partnership with North American and Canadian Customer Delivery teams
• Collaborate with Global Product, NAM as well as Customer Delivery leads for new implementations
• Manage pricing, business casing and approval processes across all new and pipeline customers, for all money movement capabilities
• Lead new product launches and product extension initiatives relevant to the market
• Manage pricing and treasury requirements, working with Global, NAM and Regional Finance on pricing approvals
• Work with customers on scaling current flows with existing partners and expand opportunities with new partners
• Support the management of the Transfer Solutions pipeline, owning the sales force and pipeline management process along with sales teams
• Partner with customers and delivery teams on delivering product and platform enhancements, impacting the Canada region
• Maintain a strong understanding of the competitive landscape across global and domestic money movement, support training and thought-leadership initiatives
• Partner with product and other stakeholders in Canada across consumer, commercial and government teams to identify needs, gaps and strategic fit for new products
• Work with the Transfer Solutions leadership team on defining Go-to-market strategies for identified product/s
• Support standard day-to-day product management functions, including reporting, forecasting and dashboard management

• Do you have a proven ability to manage complexity in a fast-paced environment?
• Experienced and/or interested in the world of Money Movement, ACH, Real-Time Payments, Wire Payments, Disbursements and Remittances other emerging payments rails and protocols?
• Have you managed or supported the product management and product strategy within banking and financial services?
Expert Level Competencies In The Following Are Required
• An understanding of cross border and domestic payments – including ACH, Wire Payments, Cross-Border Payment Flows, Real-Time Payments, Foreign Exchange, and other emerging payments and technologies

• Payments knowledge – either at a bank, financial tech company, or payment network

Education/Certification Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree, MBA preferred
