Overview
The A2A Risk Solutions Product Management is looking for a global Product Director to help drive delivery of our product roadmap and strategy by consistently innovating and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping our customers to reduce fraud/scams, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset.
A2A Risk Solutions is a cross-functional team in the Security Solutions Services division of Mastercard, overseeing solutions that are dedicated to safeguarding businesses and consumers from various financial crimes. Made up of our product management, data scientists, operations, and technology partners, we have launched solutions that detect and prevent financial crime, with advanced technologies, data analysis techniques and industry best practices to identify suspicious patterns, behaviours, and transactions on a global scale.
This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the ongoing success of our solutions, by providing valuable product support, and help evolve the next phase of development on our roadmap. Through collaboration, strategic analysis and innovative thinking, this role will help strengthen our position in the market and provide unique learnings in an ever-evolving landscape.
Role
• Develop and deliver pre-sales product vision, strategy and roadmap for the products they support, clearly communicating it to key stakeholders on an ongoing basis
• Serves as an industry fraud expert for global markets to determine new needs and innovations that differentiate Mastercard Customer Value Proposition and scale revenue
• Be there for our customer by understanding their needs and by providing SME knowledge to enable them to deploy and achieve the best possible outcomes within their businesses and sectors
• Understand the markets we work in including regulations and the direction of our competitors
• Leverage the Studio framework to manage the delivery of ongoing innovation and enhancements to focus Products
• Deploy test & learn experimentation to ensure that the end user and customer experience is continuously optimized
• Collaborate with internal and external partners and engage directly with customers to gain deep understanding of needs - use customer research, feedback and data to build iteratively and test/ experiment innovative concepts and features.
• Take accountability for the delivery of key product enhancements and partner with Guild members to deliver (e.g. CX&D, Product Management – Technical) ensuring timescales and expectations are met
• Understand the Software Development Lifecycle and surface any barriers or obstacles to deliver capabilities on time and budget. Proactively communicate situation and proposed solutions to senior management
• Leverage data & dashboards to quickly identify Product performance challenges, making recommendations on proposed action plans
• Participate with stakeholders in cross-functional teams (e.g. Data Science, Engineering, Product Operations) in the development of business requirements to achieve Product objectives
All About You
• Strong experience of implementing fraud and money mules prevention strategies within a banking environment or within a financial crime risk management function.
• Experience in delivering projects, particularly building out new functional capabilities, navigating stakeholders across functions and markets.
• Firsthand experience of working with external fraud vendors, developing business cases to seek investments.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize in order to meet project constraints (budget, deadlines, etc.)
• Take a data-driven approach to product enhancements, identifying opportunity areas and contributing to the Product roadmap, prioritizing work to deliver against key areas of focus
• Understand Mastercard’s business model and take key financial or commercial factors into consideration to positively influence revenue delivery and cost efficiency
• Incorporate and understanding of the broader payments ecosystem into ongoing product management (e.g. regulatory, legal, technology, competitive, technology environment etc.)
• Leverage working knowledge of Mastercard business, systems, products and customer requirements in making fact-based business and product decisions
• Lead by example with hands-on approaches to demonstrate product management excellence and share best practices
• Demonstrate and drive Mastercard Way behaviours (e.g. customer and stakeholder interactions)
• Actively partner with the Guilds to create best practices within the Program with a focus on driving continuous improvement in the Program’s operating model and make proposals to Program leadership on enhancement opportunities.
